This offense is like running the option to set up downfield play action passes, but never passing downfield. I just don’t get it.

It means our opening play has been a lateral pass at Illinois which led to a turnover and then he repeats it this week for a 9 yard loss. A simple adjustment to throw that upfield is needed.
And when Wandale is in the backfield it's about 90% that they're going to get him to the perimeter. Easy read.

Scott sure doesn't seem to get how important positive yardage is on 1st down, even if it's not significant

You can't seriously think those 2 plays are similar. The Illinois play was not a screen, Luke just improvised.

Today was a bad throw made worse by wind.

Everyone says to get Wandale in space then you ***** about.
