These kids are being charged with a felony for a bb gun. The Bama players get a free pass on a stolen weapon and drugs. What is our world coming to......

If that's the case then Barker, and a few other of our players got lucky.
Airsoft guns don't do as much damage as a BB Gun can and are actually meant to be fired safely at other humans. Although I have no idea how you do thousands of dollars in damage with a BB gun. Maybe shooting out all the glass? I dunno.

In both cases though its stupid to have any form of gun on a campus.

I dunno how the hell somebody could do $1,000 worth of damage with a BB gun.

It's a BB gun. Vandalism? Sure, handle that. But the bb gun? Are you serious Clark?

Shoot out some custom Windows and you can get there quickly.
Yup. Even a good home window can easily hit a couple hundred bucks.

More importantly is the current "guns on campus" environment. This incident (and the one at UK a few years back) may have been prankish but, given the environment, was monumentally stupid and could have resulted in a real tragedy. Those involved are very lucky to still be in school. Any gun on campus other than Super Soaker can look like a threat to a first responder.

Peace

If we had stricter BB gun control laws this never would have happened.

I just hope they have finally sniffed out and destroyed all those top secret blueprints for making slingshots.

I think the only reason Hartline didn't go to jail for throwing rocks through windows is his arm wasn't strong enough.

I know I might be slightly political on this but why is having a BB gun a worse offense than a real gun. I know in Ohio there's open carry which is fine but if a kid has a BB gun he gets sent to juvenile hall. My cousin in Ohio had this happen to him.
