Well two things went wrong - catcher wanted it up and away, pitcher delivered low and down the middle. Then the fielder misread and voila, down 3 and no double play opportunity unless they walk this guy.

I don't know what goes on with our bullpen, but fairly often when a pitcher comes into the game, he is terrible at first, then he starts throwing strikes. Are they not warming up sufficiently in the bullpen?

As questionable as some of Mingione's decisions. He's taken us as far as we've ever been, so hard to be too upset at it. A ball stays fair and a throw is 0.05 seconds later and we probably get 2 runs at least that inning.

yep and they finished FOURTH in the conference. Not sure why any conference even tries at this point. SEC Baseball is hard as hell.
