The sports market is where the real growth is for a company like Netflix. I’m expecting them to expand into much more than just content streaming over time.

''Netflix experienced a significant $11.4 billion single day decline in market value, sparking global headlines about a potential shift in consumer sentiment. Market Watch reported a 2.3% decline in market value. The Elon Musk promoted boycott is the largest one-day decline in history and may have some influence in Netflix's diversification in an attempt to recover the losses.''

It’s got room to run in the next six months.

I hate ballgames on other streaming playforms. I’m primarily a YTTV viewer. It’s easy enough to swap back and forth between stations, or view in Multiview. Now with games on Prime, and Netflix, if there’s also a game on broadcast tv, I have to completely swap between platforms to run from commercials. Hopefully the Netflix experiment flops. (Although I imagine it will succeed, if for no other reason than to spite me  ).

As of now I do not think there has been a game on streaming that competed with regular NFL broadcast on CBS, NBC, ABC or Fox.

But I do find myself wanting to just switch away from a stream service and the convience is gone.

The streaming games are available in the markets for the teams involved on regular TV. That is the case with ESPN games as well.

Netflix started this last year. All of these streaming platforms are using sports to attract subscriptions.

Maybe I'm just getting old and it doesn't mean that much to me anymore, but the NFL seems more and more like pro-wrestling.
