Its of my opinion. That if the QB play gets better we can hide a lot of other deficiencies. Woodson threw for 1600 yrds 6td 6int went 3-8 in 2005. Stumbled through the first half of 2006, got bewt down by lsu, then it suddenly clicked for him and uk took off... and a coach that was 5 games from being fired looked like a genius.

If barker could figure it out he could really hide some sucky o line play and help the offense keep the ball longer. Open up the run game. Put the other D on its heels. Keep our d fresh into the 4th quarter. Keep us in games. Which keeps motivation and confidence high. Its a domino effect.

2nd thought. Unrelated to the first. If we canned stoops and just refused to pay his full buyout how likely is it we settle for a lesser amount and soften the financial blow? I feel like this has happened at other schools, no? I may be wrong.

Pretty good first part of your post, but probably the only way Stoops wouldn't get all his money is if he couldn't sleep at night because his conscience was bothering him. And his wife would probably tell him to get over it, go to sleep. Of course he would probably end up a DC somewhere, but why would he even try for a high salary?

I still haven't given up on a comeback, that score was 48 to 0, or was it 49? Strange things happen in football, hard to understand the funk the whole team (a few exceptions) is in.
