UK has blown a golden opportunity to have an excellent season in the sec this year...how many think the 2007 team could/would have won the east and played in Atlanta...I most certainly do and think they would have won it easily..UT is the only team that would have given us a run, but their schedule was much tougher...what say you

We were 3-5 in the SEC and beat UL on a last second pass, we might have if Little didn't get hurt, lack of depth killed us. After we lost to Florida by 8 in a shootout without Little we went downhill fast.

Anyone have a phone number for J Rowland or CatsPause, important that I be able to talk to him soon, having trouble finding it on the internet. Thanks.

IMHO... the 2007 team was older, more experienced, better & appeared to have more leadership than this team. The 2015 team would more realistically compare somewhere in between the 2005 (better than) & 2006 (not quite up to that level) teams in those 4 categories.

RE the 2007 team winning the East this year... Probably so. However, as Jauk mentioned, lack of depth really hindered that 2007 team. Also, if you could have combined the 2007 offense with the 2008 defense, UK would have really had something special.

Losing @ SC really set us back in 2007.

Had we won that game, then we might have been able "rest" a little against Florida, the week after we beat LSU.

Since we already had one loss, we had to go all-out against Florida, and we were completely out of gas the next week when we played Miss St. (12:30 kick-off) and were upset.

I'm not saying we would not have tried to beat Florida, but we could have rested players who needed to rest, and even if we had lost, beating Miss. State would have kept us in the driver's seat in the East.

We played well at Georgia for a half, then could do nothing in the second half. There were rumors that Woodson suffered a concussion that game.

The UT lost was a woulda/coulda/shoulda. IMO, Brooks & Co. absolutely blew it when they went for the FG in OT. Sieber had a really nice game against LSU, but was pretty shaky at times during the rest of the season.

IMO, Woodson deserved a shot to hit one of those senior receivers in the end zone to end the streak that year.

2007 was fun, but in many ways, we really blew it that year.

Buy do you not think that team plays in Atlanta this year?
