Scotty Ray Gilkey, from Broken Arrow, only has a 3 star rating but looks impressive. Great pocket presence and a good touch. I know QB is a key position for next season and this guy should be on the radar.

Gilkey's a good player, but I believe OU will aim high to find a QB next year.......very high.

Sam Bradford was a 3 star, only problem about aiming to high is that they usually want to start right away. Gilkey could redshirt and learn the system. If Mayfield or one of the guys we have on the roster have a good year, then I it will be hard to not play them the following year. IMO

OU needs a high profile tall pocket passer recruit at QB that can step in either a starting role or a back-up role his first year.

My bet is on Cody Thomas, but that remains to be seen on the field. Recruit his back-up, if he plays at a high level.

Mayfield and Knight are Jr's while Thomas is a soph and Hansen is a fresh. Hopefully one of the upper classmen can be our starter for two years. If they bring in a top qb that wants to start right away, we will probably lose one if not two of these guys.
