This is not a by NCHSAA , just another like SimmonsRatings but used the NCHSAA logo. I hope they are both wrong.

A lot of these make no sense. For instance, one league is a 1A/2A split that would only have 4 football playing teams, and has 150-student Blue Ridge and Highlands in with 900-student Franklin and Smoky. That league just wouldn't be good for anybody involved.

He said he worked all day on this. I think he needs to work a few weeks on changing it. And how does he get by using the NCHSAA logo as though it was their proposal ? LOL

Drive time for this group stays about the same as this year,none closer or farther away than the 1A schools in the 1A - 2A split conference
Elkin
Alleghany
East Wilkes
Starmount
Mount Airy
East Surry

The ones below can be Forsyth Co area teams split 1A / 2A conference
This group is all a closer drive than the NW1A with N.Stokes
being maybe 40 min. and all the rest 20 to 30 min. or less.

there is no way you will see 10 team split conferences in this realignment, i don't think there is anyone that stupid in the NCHSAA office, or at least i hope not

There will have to be a split conference in the northwestern part of the state in some form or fashion. The NCHSAA will either keep the current set up of the MVAC 1A/2A split and make minor movements to the NW1A and WPAC in 2A (S.Stokes to 1A, Walkertown and Atkins to 2A) or they will make some larger changes, going back to similar older versions of the NW1A and MVAC in 2A, while creating a new 1A/2A conference for the schools near Winston Salem (this would be the proposed conference of Walkertown, WS Prep, Atkins, Carver, Bishop, West Stokes, South Stokes, and North Stokes). We should know something pretty soon though, since the 1st appeals are due by January 8th.

I meant the only proposal that matters now is the one released today. I never said I agree or disagree. I am sure all 300+ schools are not in total agreement with what was released. I am truly sorry things so far did not work out for your school. I am sure there will be appeals filed. This will not be the finals.
