All.... Did anyone else notice last years 5A champion Peoria H.S. (when Illinois schools all over the state are losing students) has bucked that trend, considerably. From 1267.00 to 1391.00. Referencing the playoff teams from 2016 and using their numbers that would put the school on the lower side but comfortably in 6A. One never knows until those 256 qualifiers are announced but welcome Peoria to 6A football. Ratsy

Peoria High's enrollment has not increased, the bump was probably related to a change in schedule/opponent (football enrollment). Peoria Woodruff closed six years ago, and two catholic schools merged because of enrollment decline... Peoria High's enrollment was 1,462 in 2012, 1,388 in 2013, 1,377 in 2014, 1,447 in 2015, and 1,387 in 2016. I went to college in Peoria and sadly the town is a ********... not heading in the right direction IMHO. :(

I guess that theory doesn't work (LOL), I stand corrected on that (been out of the loop too long). The school's enrollment dropped last year so I have no clue why their "IHSA enrollment" increased.

All.... The Ihsa takes classification enrollment in the previous year for the upcoming season. What this means is on September 30 of 2016 all schools are classified with a finite number for 2017. The same will happen when September 30th rolls around for 2018. Ratsy

IHSA enrollment numbers are hard to figure. Phillips shows an enrollment of 813 on the ISBE website in 2016, yet their IHSA enrollment is 528?

So Loyola will have more players dressed Week 1 than Phillips has enrolled. Who scheduled that one?

Doesn't matter. Phillips picks up 8 to 10 transfers a year from around CPS.

Phillips shows 528 enrollment for high school on ISBE website spreed sheet you can download. .
