With the new 20-30-30-20 model coming in after next football season, I sat down and tried my best to figure it out. This is my best guess on the new 2A line and what schools will be joining and leaving 2A.... The new 2A line will be about 663-1,046 students, with Swansboro being the highest, and Heide Trask being the lowest.
Schools leaving 3A for 2A
Swansboro
West Craven
South Brunswick
Central Davidson
Patton
Tuscola
West Iredell
Hibriten
East Henderson
North Lincoln
North Henderson
South Rowan
Schools leaving 1A for 2A
Whiteville
Heide Trask

Pretty sure you can add McMichael and Eden Morehead as 3A schools that would be lumped with the 2A schools come playoff time.....

That would leave Rockingham County in the position Reidsville now has -- the only county school without an in-county conference rival.

The other website indicated Pisgah would be moving down also. There was a time when Tuscola was nearly 4A. Hard to believe they'll drop to 2A.

During my time at Tuscola (92-95) we were 4A, I think they dropped back down in the fall of 1996 to 3A if I am not mistaken.

Will Edenton Holmes drop down or petition to stay 2A although their ADM numbers are on the border line? Thanks.
