Nice. My wrestling practice ends at 7:30 so perhaps I can still catch it.

BTW... what is this I'm hearing that Jo Jo didn't make weight and that is why he is out?

Agree and if true it has happened to some of the older wrestlers in the past as well. This is JoJo's first two day college competition and a learning experience on how to eat and hydrate enough to win on day 1 and make weight on day 2(always very hard for guys that are cutting..if this is what happened).

Don't wrestlers get a 1 lb cushion on Day 2? Like for example, if a wrestler at 125 weighs in at 126 on Day 2, he's still technically at weight?

Bottom line, we have growing pains with this group for sure. No doubt lots of Talent in this Freshman class but I would have like to seen All the Frosh redshirt including Alvarez, Aragona, Turley, along with Vulakh and Kanniard. Feel it would have really set us up for the next 4 years and with serviceable guys that could step in, ie, Lipari, MVB, Donner Firestone etc would have been a great year to grow. I get it, Aragona didn’t want to redshirt and Sammy is doing great but maybe could have done that much better. JMO

No what we have here is too many missed classes. I have no problem with the freshman going as there really isn't much else. Thus they have to be thrown into the fire immediately. We just need to dial back our expectations for Aragona and Turley for this year.

If kids like Aragona and Alvarez are healthy and can compete at this level, they should wrestle. Very easy to lose years to injuries in this sport.

Aguilar loses 3-2. Not sure what happened most of the match(thanks flo) but he let him out with 52 secs. of riding time. So another bad loss.

I "think" Nic got ripped off with non stalling calls in the 3rd...not sure due to camera

Another upset loss for Aguilar as he loses 3-2. Once again no offense and not a great day 2 for him but the camera work was horrendous.

Your #7 in country. Need to find a way to win and score. For as good as yesterday was for him today was just as bad. End of story

Nic is still a RS Freshman, hopefully he learns from this and come B10 and NCAA time he wins these close matches. The talent is there

For those of you closer to this team then I. It looks like other then Alvarez we really under performed across the board. Is that correct? I know we are young at certain weights but so are other kids on other teams that are performing better. Any opinions out there in RU wrestling land?
