If Kuminga reclassifies and commits to us, is there a chance one of the recruits de-commits?

Boogie Ellis did it.

It's a not insignificant distinction. It would require a release from Duke. So far K has been pretty amenable in these situations and I suspect he would stay that way. But procedures would need to be followed.

But this is very hypothetical. A bigger variable right now is how many--if any-of Hurt, Stanley and Moore would jump to the NBA. I'm assuming Carey and Jones are gone.

I cannot fathom why so many of you type OFC. I looked it up on the texting dictionary. If it is short for "of course" it doesn't seem to fit

It stands for “old fart club”. There is a criteria of being a certain age (I think 60+) or being a Duke fan since before coach K started coaching at Duke. I am still a little over 6 years away from meeting the criteria and in no hurry to get there!

It's pretty funny if you go back and read some of the post but take OFC as meaning "Of f'ing Course".

Very good. Perhaps it will make sense. I guess I can put OFC next to my name since I'm typing this as Ryan Secrest is welcoming the new year

Anybody know where we stand with Patrick Baldwin? I feel like he’s the crown jewel of the class

I think most of our freshman next year will stick around for year 2. All of them except Johnson could be back. Getting Roach and Steward back for a second year would be dynamite.

We already got Griffin in the fold for the class of 2021. Just him along with some key returnees and we will be really good. Add Baldwin to the class and were probably preseason #1.
Add another (Kuminga, Christie, Chandler etc.) and it's Duke versus the field for the 2022 championship. I've said this before, but I think K is gonna go all in for this 2022 title, has to be pissed we came up short in 2018 and 2019.

If everyone comes back except Jalen I see us landing Griffin, Baldwin, Christie and/of Keels. And possibly a big like Bediako or someone off the radar as of now. If Roach comes back I don’t see us landing Chandler. I think we’re the favorites assuming Roach is OAD but both of them are going to want to start. I really don’t think Kuminga at this point is even an option.

Think the assumption is pat Baldwin commits next. Then you have your starters at the 3 and 4 for 2022. But guys like banchero and Chandler have hinted at a fall decision and likely wont know our roster situation when fall arrives. I doubt Kennedy commits to duke not knowing if roach/steward are 1 and done. Then is banchero willing to play the 5, is mark 1 and done? To many unknowns hope they decide in the spring...

Who does Banchero want to team up with? Is it Chandler or Keels?

Nevermind, it is Chandler. Supposedly referred to Duke as his dream come true offer. Would be a heck of a package considering we already have Griffin and are favorite for Baldwin.

Chandler, Griffin, Baldwin, Christie/Keels, and Banchero, with whoever comes back, would be ridiculous. Obscene amount of talent.
