Yep, and Michigan is coached by former NU All American Hannah Nielson. The Amonte Hiller coaching tree reaches far and wide. Game was on Big Ten Network and fun to watch. Michigan 9 and 1 cominng in and ranked #12

Our defense has really picked up lately. And Doucette's goaltending has been stellar. And our offense now offers our opponents a "pick your poison" option. Michigan face-guarded our All-American, Lauren Gilbert, holding her without a goal; but she dished out assists to Jill Girardi and Elle Hansen who picked up the offensive slack.
How is one loss BC ranked ahead of no loss UNC when BC's only loss was to - yep ... you guessed it - UNC?

That is the RPI. The Poll has UNC #1, BC #2 and NU #3.....
PSU was 5-4 coming in, but this was a good old-fashioned *** kicking. Doucette, once again, was absolutely dominant in goal.
A shame Izzy has been out all season. Would be the favorite to win it all if she were healthy, IMHO.
I don't get the logic of them being ahead of a team they lost decisively to though......
We have improved significantly since our loss to BC in February. And we've gotten over the initial shock of the loss of Izzy Scane due to injury. The emergence of Jill Girardi as our all-around Swiss army knife of a player, on draw controls and as an offensive force, has really helped this team gel. I'd like to think the coaches/pollsters have taken this into account.
