Here’s the bracket. Any predictions on how we’ll place nationally?

Is Deakin our only potential champion? Is Davison a darkhorse to place as a HWT (not win given Steveson’s dominance)?

Talk Grapplin’ to me!

Cool! Our 25, 33 and 49 lbers have all previously been All Americans! Davison at hwt is definitely capable too! Plus, our other guys may do some damage! Fun Weekend 🥊🥊🥊🥊🥊🥊🎸🎸🎸🎸

Key Matches Today (4 wrasslers still alive for the championship):

HWT #9 Davison vs #1 Steveson - really tough draw. Steveson has tech falled his first two opponents, while Davison has won by two minor decisions. This would be an awesome upset if it happens.

157 #2 Deakin vs #7 Humphreys from Lehigh. Deakin had a better second match than his first, pinning Lovett from CMU in 4:36. If he wins he’ll face #3 Teemer from ASU.

133 #10 Cannon vs #2 Fix from Oklahoma State. Fix is 23-0 but hasn’t dominated his first two matches. Another really tough matchup.

125 #10 DeAugustino vs #2 Arajau from Cornell. Damn we have some tough draws on day 2. Perhaps our best shot at an upset?

Are there any consolation matches on today?

No upset from Davison, but he looked tough for sure!
Davison went the distance and made NU very proud. Lost a 10-5 minor decision to one of the great Heavyweights of all time in Steveson. Hopefully he still places.

Carr went down with a big upset so Deakin is now the favorite.

He faces 22-0 Teemer (#3 from ASU).

If he wins that, he’ll face either #8 Lewan (Michigan) or #5 Monday (Princeton).

Deakin advances with a dominating 9-2 decision over Teemer. He was in total control for almost the entire match.

He’ll face Quincy Monday from Princeton tomorrow on ESPN. Tune in!
