Let’s see what the TV ratings are for this sh!tshow. I expect and hope that this will be the lowest-rated Olympics in history.

Oh, not that this is the appropriate thread for this story, but I have a cousin who lives next door to Katie Ledecky, who would babysit my cousin’s kids. Katie is a lovely person, I’m told. Anyway, my cousin’s youngest kid once brought Katie and her gold medals to school for show-and-tell. The street cred he got out of this was off the charts, lol.

Summer McIntosh has taken the swimming world by storm over the past few years. She is quite impressive.

Ledecky's times in the 800 have been down from her peak times for the past few years. But she's still been able to beat everyone else in the world until this recent competition.

Ledecky seems to thrive on being challenged. It will be interesting to see if McIntosh elects to swim the 800 free at this summer's Olympics in Paris. If so, she'll be quite a test for Ledecky.
