It turns out PJ and Mrs. Fleck will need to budget better in 2024. There was no bonus for coach because U of Minnesota did not qualify for a bowl game even though they played in one.
Then he needs a better lawyer because his contract reads "receiving an invitation to and participating and coaching in" a bowl game.

Not a lot of D in the Holiday Bowl. Now 42-28, USC, with 10:00 left in the 4th qtr

Louisville fumbles deep in their own territory, with 1:25 left in the game. USC will win. It's still 42-28. Only question is will USC try to score from the Louisville 21. (They took a knee on 1st down, so probably not.)

USC had given up 34+ pts in 8 straight games. Hard to believe……😵💫

The Land Grant trophy “designer” must be alive out there and still working . Two toaster slots for pop tarts in the football .

Check out the attendance (Fenway seats fewer that 38k) for what is essentially a BC home game. So much for BC and the Boston TV market
In their defense, I’m visiting my sister in Boston for the holiday. All day it’s been pouring down rain and it’s foggy, cold and miserable outside. She asked me if I wanted to go someplace with her this morning. My answer was “Are you F’ing crazy”. On the flip side, who’s stupid enough to schedule an outdoor bowl game in New England in the Winter.

ESPN, they own the game.

Coming up next is the Bad Boy Mowers Pinstripe Bowl. Weather is similar here in the NYC area, but Rutgers fans will show up, at least the 250 students who got free tickets (partially paid for by PSU, thank you very much).

Looks like it's not so rainy and windy in NY, right?
Asking for a friend who likes to bet unders in weather games.

I have the NJ/Miami game on in the background. Good to see Rod Gilmore is still alive and "broadcasting". I figured him stupid enough to have walked out in front of a bus or a train by now.

Rutgers blocks a Miami punt and recovers in the end zone for a TD.

The block was by Trevor Yeboah-Kodie. Trevor's father is Frank Yeboah-Kodie and his uncle is Phil Yeboah-Kodie, both of whom were on the 1994 PSU team.

Rutgers has had much success running on Miami all game, yet Schiano keeps trying to pass the ball on 1st down (with little success).

Cristobal saving all his time outs to be used on offense while Rutgers is running into the line to kill time.
No matter how bad things may seem, at least Franklin >> Cristobal

Da U trying to stage a comeback against Rutgers in the Pinstripe Bowl. They score a TD with under a minute left to make it 31-24, Rutgers. Then they recover an onside kick, with 0:25 sec left.

well, so much for that. Da U goes for it on 4th down, the receiver came back for the ball (from beyond the 1st down marker), and is tackled in bounds and just short of the marker. Rutgers takes over with 7 sec left, and will win, 31-24
