wow, I'm surprised this record has stood for so long, especially since PSU has had several elite distance and X-country female runners over the years.
And FWIW, while Caron set PSU's record in the 5K race, she took 17th place in the race. The wining time was 15:06:42, run by Hilda Olemomoi (Alabama).
