Tell that to Braden Smith, just under 10pm for Perdue and under 6 feet.
Ah yes, former 3star ranked around 200 nationally (similar to JaMike). My point is that mid-majors are loaded with smaller guards who can play ball. Thanks for making my argument for me. Purdue loses to mid-majors in the NCAA due to guard play BTW. Without Edey they are at the bottom of the BigTen.

You have no clue what you are talking about....lol @Tom Izzo recruiting guards that look like football players. I assume you do know that every MSU recruiting class since 2003 is a few clicks away.
Very true. Tyson Walker, for one, is a very thin player.

You were talking in B10. Seemed effective in it.

For the most part I think fans are starting to come around on Davis as being legit good. When he first committed he was lowly ranked and no one had heard of him so it wasn't looked at as a good signing. If you watched his tape you could see a lotttt to really like. Glad people seem to be coming around. I know Richie mentioned on a recent pod the more he watched the more he liked him. I think many will feel the same way. He's a baller.

I'm not disagreeing - however - the video from this summer was him playing down against competition that will all be back in high school this fall. A rare thing for a committed player to do.
A strange scenario that nobody seemed interested in explaining.

Yeah, if he hadn’t shot 2-10 from the floor they would have been able to beat FDU…
Admittedly he's an inconsistent shooter, but he still had a higher 3PT shooting percentage last season than everyone on RU except Cam Spencer.

Yeah. Hopefully JaMike and Noah are both over 40% from 3 for the season. JaMike should get some open looks from deep with good ball movement but I don’t want him forcing shots and passes when he drives into the paint. Hopefully he can drive a lot and either alley oop to Cliff or dish it back outside to GG who if need be can hit Noah up top who can then hit JaMike who ran through traffic all the way back outside to the weak side for an open trey. That’s just good YMCA basketball…
My hope is for JaMike to be an efficient 3pt shooter, drive to the basket to disrupt the D and be a good defender.

The tape removes all doubt about his ability. The kid can play, and at a high level. He'll get some quality minutes this year.

This guy has done a great job breaking down all of our new incoming players for 2023.

Enjoy

Ogbole had better be ready for his ten minutes per game. Could be a major factor defensively, setting screens and with rebounding. He certainly looks the part.

Davis is quick. He will have to adjust his shot as anyone does when you play in the big 10. Simpson saw it last year. I’m excited to see his growth.

I view players as fictional characters until I see them play. I am not even sure if Simpson is real because I honestly don’t have a feel of what type of player he is and will be.

NJHawk, right on the money concerning JMike, he has great body control and is not afraid of contact at the rim, really understands the angles on both offense and defense. With his skill set 6'2" gets the job done, will get bigger/ stronger as he gets in the weight room and physically matures, he is going to be a very exciting player to watch.

I’m interested in seeing if he can shoot efficiently from three. Shot 23 of 47 (49%) as a junior.

Purdue's guards are really good, but they were freshmen. They, like Simpson, will be much better this year.

Liked him better than Warren from day one and probably one of the reasons for Warren's decommitment.

I hope JaMike doesn’t pick up his dribble while driving in the paint once all season. Watching a very quick but undersized Jalen Miller forcing things down low was brutal to see. The good thing is that JaMike does have the ability to get to the rim if given room.

This is first time I noticed the memorial patch on the Jersey. Had not heard that Tom Young had died. RIP Coach... and RIP AD Mulcahy... Feb 7th was a year since Mulcahy died. Not sure why he is still on the patch. A year is standard, is it not?

Someone tell GG that hockey players use “hockey spit” (actual product name) to prevent fogging of the visor. He must have played ball in some really cold gyms during winter maybe if his goggles fogged up.
