Kimbrel sucks

Phightins battle back, with 2 out in the top of the 9th, to tie the game 6-6. Kimbrel pitches the bottom of the 9th, and gives up a grand slam to Max Muncy. 10-6, Dodgers win

Tough to win at any level of baseball when the number of runs you give up is consistently in double digits. :cautious:

Nola is a major disappointment. Staked to a 5-0 lead right on cue he proceeds to bleed it away.

He's had basically one good start this season.

He’s frustrating but so are the endless fundamental base running and fielding issues, the plate approaches, and well, so much more!

Did you get a season ticket package this season Greg? I upgraded to full season, for the first time in 10 years.

Yep, a 17-game package. Been to two so far. Won't be able to go down to the Red Sox game this weekend but hopefully this homestand can turn things around.

Yep, but when buddy's three year old son expects ya at his birthday party, ya gotta go to the birthday party, tickets or not. Hoping someone at least plucks them off Seat Geek.
You don’t need to worry about that bud. Hopefully you priced them high. To help cover some of the package cost.

Good news after a needed win. Brutal loss for Toronto but we’ll take it!

To tie it, in the bottom of the 9th:

To win it, in the bottom of the 10th:

I hate to be pesky purveyor of unpleasant news but aren’t the Phils sub-500 so far?

The generally hated Mets are even leading them. 😎

the season is 162 games. The Fightins have played 37 games.

The Phils are 18-19 (i.e., one game under .500). 37 games into a season, I could care less if the Fightins are 1 game under 500, 1 game over 500, in last place in the NL East, or in first place in the NL East.

And finally, the current NL East standings are:

Braves: 25-11, .694
Marlins: 19-19, .500
Phils: 18-19, .486
Mets: 17-19, .472
Nats: 16-21, .432

Perhaps @LionJim can find you a math protocol in which the Mets are leading the Phils in the standings.

Five in a row with Harper in MVP form. I like it. The Jekyll/Hyde thing kills me when they turn around and lose three in a row however.
