Yes , Dickson and Carson picked Konkol over Lutz and Lutz is probably still fuming about that.
He shouldn't be upset. Konkol knew the lay of the land from having been here as a grad assistant. He had the knowledge about how to market himself appropriate to TU, for that reason. Konkol interviewed with a passing lane.

You haven't even seen them matchup, or the players Konkol & Lutz has brought in this year, and the first thing out of your mouth is criticizing TU. With 'fans' like you, TU doesn't need enemies.

From the crowds at the last couple it may only be me but, yeah, after not having one last year I’m ready for a November vacation to a warm climate with three TU games. Seemed to work out pretty well for Lutz in the long run. Doubt he’s terribly pissed

That said….he's going to be coaching a team woefully undermanned to play in the Big12 this upcoming season. His first year could look a lot like Konkols.

Set a calendar reminder for 2 years from now when we've let go of Konkol. We'll see who's correct.
If he keeps signing the AAC freshman of the year and 4 star players, and finish in top of AAC, I think he might get an extension. But he could just quit basketball all together the way things are now.
Update on the tournament front. South Florida has accepted the Myrtle Beach invitational. There are 4 american teams not in one yet. Tulsa, Tulane, Rice and UTSA

They still have plenty of time for a foreign trip. The bowl games are made like 3or 4 weeks out from the game. We still have 4 months till we tipoff and 4 and a half till the in season tourneys. I can almost be positive though that we won’t be in Cancun. My money is that we are in one of those worthless MTE again where we play the sisters of the poor
TU bigs were dominated in that game. Those OSU bigs found NIL riches and are gone. Should be a much different and more competitive game.
to be honest I believe one of our biggest issues in that game was the double three point line. If you watch it they kept setting themselves at the wrong line and it threw their shot off. The inside game was taken out because we couldnt get the outside going and that double line I believe was the big culprit of it.
Assuming since it was where the Thunder play , the NBA 3 point line was still there
Not sure I buy the OSU players were smart enough to figure out the two lines but the TU players were not.
Tulane is now going to the Cancun Challenge. That now leaves Tulsa, Rice and UTSA out currently
Rainbow Classic is still open but there are no other tournaments listed with spots available
We were 3 of 20 and they were 8 of 20 from the arc. They didn’t shoot that high of a percentage. Natural progression of offense says if you can get an outside game that will open your inside game. The shots were just off a little and i am convinced that was a reason. Maybe it wasn’t but I believe it was a factor. Since they figured out we couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn they didn’t defend out as much and were able told us at bay on the inside.
Now that haggerty the traitor has left, do we have an inside threat? Will Odom or Carrington be that person? Or do we need to pray that we have developed an outside game?

Mayor's Cup date is reportedly set: Wednesday, November 13th at the Reynolds Center.

Or in season tournament either. I guess I can use that money for a Caribbean cruise this winter.
