Mo Salah’s new buzz cut makes him look like an extra from the movie Papillon. I didn’t recognize him at first.

Arsenal 2-0 Wolves at 75’. Saka with a remarkable goal, just exceptional how he set that up. COYG.
The first of many "win to nil" bets I'll be making on arsenal this year. Hope it's a successful as last year. I think their defense may have gotten even better.

Arsenal were a little sloppy on defense, gave up two good shots that shouldn’t have been allowed.

Hammers 1-2 Aston Villa. Scoring alternated, Villa went ahead at 82. A very well-played and hard-fought match, very enjoyable.

I'm embarrassed for this ref. Diaz launches himself into the back of Schar. I would seriously consider giving Diaz a red card for this play. Schar jumps up and pushes Diaz (after a foul like that, I have no issue with that). Then Schar puts his forehead to Diaz's forehead, and Diaz goes down like he was clocked. The Premier League may have different interpretations or different actions they emphasize, but the general rule involving foreheads is that it's not a big deal, unless one of the players pulls his head back, and then slams it forward into the other player's forehead -- something that didn't happen here.

That red card was total horsecrap.

Southampton’s goalkeeper is an idiot.

Man C wins 2-0 over Chelsea. Just terrible D by Chelsea on the 2nd goal.

lol, I thought you might like that one. I almost put a note in my post along the lines of "how do you like this one, @LionJim?"
Sure! That’s what I dig the most about the sport. I’m hardly the only one in this thread who feels that way, of course.

Spurs sheesh. Should have had at least 4 goals, but nooooooo. 1-1 tie with Leicester and Spurs killer, Jamie Vardy, with the tieing goal.
Yeah, Tottenham seemed to get every free ball the last fifteen minutes.

The service was so great on so many balls by Tottenham....really could have been 4-0 at the half. It looked Leicester City was running in sand in the first half.

Yeah, I noticed that this morning. Probably an early-in-the-season marketing tactic, won't work on me.

I did think of you, @LionJim, when I posted the schedule, knowing you wouldn't be pleased. I'm not sure why things worked out that way for this weekend.

Next weekend, 3 games are on USA Network and 1 game is on NBC.

Mrs LionJim and I have a lot going on at the moment. Arsenal is on USA, good enough for me.

Son pickpockets Pickford for an easy dunk goal, Spurs 2-0 over Everton. Odobert looking quick.
