Stakeholders want her to light it up the way she did at Iowa. She ain't necessarily supposed to be unopposed at this level.

I don't think she is the one whining, (or any more than usual), it is those who want her to get the special treatment like she did in college.
Oh she's whining. Her Dad has said in the past that "she wasn't raised that way". Well apparently, she was or at least allowed to get away with being a brat. I'm sure there will be mounting pressure to back off like everyone else has in her past.I don't think she is the one whining, (or any more than usual), it is those who want her to get the special treatment like she did in college.
First, it was Coach Sides' fault, then it was her teammates fault, now it's the referees. Just play, be humble, and learn how to win.
I have watched every game and disagree. There was the dust-up with Chennedy Carter, but everyone that knows anything about Women's Basketball knows that Carter is crazy. Carter is a very talented player, drafted #4 overall in the 2020 draft. However, she is on her third team and was out of the WNBA last year because of threatening and fighting teammates. Carter can be Dennis Rodman crazy at times. The problem in the skirmish over the weekend was the referees only calling an "Off the Ball" foul on Carter and continuing to play. It should have been immediately upgraded to a flagrant 1 during the game and I wouldn't have had a problem if it was upgraded to a flagrant 2 with Carter being ejected. The only other brief skirmish was between Clark and Victoria Vivians. Clark hit a three and let Vivians know about it. Clark kind of got into Vivians personal space and Vivians gave her a forearm. Both parties got technicals and the game carried on. Otherwise, it's just been basketball. Has Clark been hit going to the rim. Yeah. However, what is the other team supposed to do. Let her score? She has gone to the rim and I think Clark has the 3rd most amount of free throws as a guard in the league. I think a lot of this narrative of physical play is coming from new fans of the sport who want this to be some sort of repeat of her Iowa performance. Clark has been good, but she is a rookie and she has had only one 30 point game. She had 3 points in her last game and the Liberty didn't play her in any special way. Clark just missed shots and was 1-10 from the field.Agree or disagree?

Why don't YOU do that? Please create a separate thread for the WNBA.
You evidentially don't follow other threads on this forum or on the Insiders...Our guy, TN-Gamecock created one, but most people aren't participating in anything involving him right now.
I can’t move existing posts to a new thread. Why don't YOU do that?
Seems like a plus to me. Frontcourt depth ain't gonna be a problem.![]()
Walker to return for final season at S. Carolina
Sakima Walker announced she will return to South Carolina next season, a boost for a Gamecocks team that lost leading scorer Kamilla Cardoso to the WNBA.www.espn.com

I hope Kamilla does well. Reese and Carter, I'll pass on watching. Most American's have no desire to watch those 2 play. Not good if you have young children watching either as both lack sportsmanship and knowledge of the English language. Can't find TN's other thread, so - I had great hopes for the Caithlin/Alysha team, but doesn't seem to be much of team. More hope now for Angel/Kamilla when Kamilla gets to 100%.
I love the "I'll show 'em" mentality. The great ones must have it.Here is a good story on incoming super star frosh Joyce Edwards.

How South Carolina's top recruit weaponized Team USA's rejection
Edwards, the No. 3 recruit in the Class of 2024, was cut from Team USA's U-16 and U-17 teams. Now she's one of the best players.www.nytimes.com
Both of these teams are extremely young and will take their lumps for the next couple of years. Doesn't mean they are bad teams or bad players. Just means there are much more experienced opponents at this time. Sometimes people forget that they are playing against the Top 100 or so players in the Women's game over the last decade. ....and in the case of Dianna Taurausi, over the last two decades. These veterans are great players too and have pride. They are not just going to let these rookies come in and take over without a fight. Can't find TN's other thread, so - I had great hopes for the Caithlin/Alysha team, but doesn't seem to be much of team. Very good perspective. As we've discussed, I just hate the prospect of Aliyah's career being sacrificed on the altar of Caitlin's. I want her to become the player she's capable of being - A'ja caliber. Both of these teams are extremely young and will take their lumps for the next couple of years. That is EIGHT P5 games out of 10 so far. Three to go. I would love to see us close out with 3 more P5 games. I know we owe Charleston Southern A game but it would be worth it to buy that one out. I also know we want to double up in LA. Maybe USCw backed out of Vegas to leverage a home game, would love that. GT, UVA, VA Tech and Wake are nearby enough to be very feasible but I don’t think they want any of us.

The people who made it go, but who were not often in accord with the originator, started over on the premium board, to the best of my knowledge.Where did everybody go? This has been an awesome thread for such a long time.
Thanks, I figured as much. Really a shame to let this thread die, from a historical perspective if nothing else. Especially over some nonsense, but that's just my opinion. The people who made it go, but who were not often in accord with the originator, started over on the premium board, to the best of my knowledge.
I'm not on the Insider Forum, but looking over there, I see where the new thread has a robust following - between 600 and 700 posts so far. Thanks, I figured as much.
