How about road wins against #1 ranked team. You bet he has turned it around!
I haven’t been following but wasn’t the starting goalie out injured when we were in the midst of the terrible start to conference play?
IIRC the shootout win only counts in Big Ten standings. For NCAA/Pairwise it goes down as a tie for both teams.
And Big Ten standings are very important right now. They are only 1 point behind Michigan.
Yes, that is important indeed, as we want to host Michigan and not have to go to Yost.
Pairwise is super important and unfortunately the tie did not help us as much as a win would have.
Must sweep Minnesota in reg and have OSU and Michigan at least split. That would be best of both worlds.
He is a very good coach…he is committed to his style (not one I care for) - high shots volume that requires A/A+ goaltending. He is getting it and they have a real chance to do some damage and then some.

Yep. Goalie play has been outstanding since his return from injury.
I tried to tell you that this team is for real. With that said, since my Gophers "gave"* Penn State a hoops road win, I ask that the skating Lions return the favor.
*Gave in this case equals soundly beat us, but it works better with my plea.

In the previous series, the defense forced the opponent to take shots from bad angles and appeared to do a much better job of not allowing the middle to get clogged up much.
Also it appears that the shot selection is much better. Still high volume, but the shooters seem to be a bit more selective.
Just an uninformed take.

Knowing that we are basically even at Pegula, and Penn State is red hot, is why this series is scary to this Gopher fan! Having a red hot goalie could carry you to a National title. I am hoping for at least a split. That would give us a first round bye.
