Pathetically sloppy ball handling doomed them.
Fortunately, I usually DVR their games so I can blow thru it when they"re playing poorly. Took about 20 minutes to watch that one. Played as sloppy as I've ever seen them. No defense at all.
I have never seen a Penn state wbb that shot as poorly as this one. They do not even attempt any three pount shots.
I’m so ready for a coach change. The collapse of last season with all the talent we had was frustrating. We lose Shay, Kapinus and Lavelle in the portal who were players you can’t lose each for different reasons. Then you have the article that came out about coach which was a terrible look despite some of the criticisms being dumb some were pretty serious too. I’m just ready for a change it shouldn’t be this hard to have a competent women’s basketball program with all the history and tradition. I just find the whole operation sloppy under coach K.
They were actually up by 11 in the second half, (led the entire game since the mid 20’s) but insisted on turning the ball over and letting Kansas steal the game
That seems quite possible. I have no inside knowledge of how she's looked at within the administration. It doesn't seem that she's done a great deal with the program, though in her defense she really was left with crumbs when she was hired. This season, she has the misfortune of coaching in a league that is stacked. The most recent AP poll shows how strong the B1G is this season:
USC recently defeated UConn. Minnesota, who smoked PSU today, is not even in the top 25 in the above AP poll.
When you have your best passer/shooter/3 point threat standing on the wing all game waiting for the ball while covered this is what happens. Like, run some effing plays to get women open once and a while.
I don’t either…but combine a 6th straight season missing the NCAAs (unless we pull off a miracle) with the stench of the reports earlier this season, and it’s likely a pretty easy decision.
The game is getting awful. Everything is a spread offense kick it out for a 3. I miss the play of a quarterback point guard and a true power forward.
