I have absolutely no information, but it makes zero sense to me that Starocci would show up for his injury default if he thought his career was over. The only reason to take an injury default is to wrestle at Nationals.

Maybe he showed up to wrestle and when he didn't, it set him off.

Guys, he was already there and thought he was wrestling. He was pissed, but did the team thing. There's no reason to be there any more in his mind so he went home and is still mad. Cael will talk to him when they get back. No one knows how it will go though

Yea we do. Cael is as close to always being right as any coach in any sport. Cooler heads will prevail.

I find it hard to believe they didn’t already have the plan laid out before getting to MD for Carter. If he did leave, total selfish move to not stay and support his teammates. Hoping that isn’t what happened.

White out conditions here in Erie County.......if folks from Erie went to Maryland, they would be better to stay in Maryland.

Seriously, it is highly doubtful this was a game time decision.....at least not for the staff. When I heard of the bus load story, I could only think of one sort of load....a load of bull.

Yeah, no idea if true. But if he thought it was his last big ten tournament I could see it. And maybe in his mind he thought it was his decision based on how he felt? We don't know. But communication seems like the culprit which pisses me off.

gimb WADR this would have been a medical staffs decision. He may have been told there was a chance he could wrestle, but after tests and examinations yesterday it was decided that there would be a risk. Doubt they would have left it up to him...

gimb WADR this would have been a medical staffs decision. He may have been told there was a chance he could wrestle, but after tests and examinations yesterday it was decided that there would be a risk. Doubt they would have left it up to him...

Yeah, who knows. Just playing devil's advocate. Although we know Big Tens mean almost nothing to Cael so protecting him for NCAAs is a possibility.
