Sorry, this team is hard to watch, so much talents but not at a group. UCLA was playing on PSU side pretty much the whole 1/2.

As for the goal, #7 stood there and offered no challenge as the ball was headed in.

As for the goal, #7 stood there and offered no challenge as the ball was headed in.

In #7's defense, her role in that situation is to defend against the outside (the over pass). Plus, it's #28's role to do what is necessary to not let the ball get to a UCLA attacker. She either misjudged the ball, or jumped too soon, as she missed getting her head on the ball.

As for the results in the 1st half, they're not a huge surprise to me. When the two teams played a few weeks ago, the ball spent most of the time in PSU's half. It was kind of shocking, in that you rarely see PSU dominated in terms of possession, as they were in that match. In today's game, in the 1st half, UCLA has 11 shots to PSU's 2, and UCLA has 4 corners to PSU's 1. This is an uncharacteristic PSU WSOC team in several ways.
