Agree - they looked timid. Pitt just kept hitting to the middle of the court and no one moved. Really not even competitive.
#5 Nebraska swept #2 Stanford 3-0 in Lincoln tonight!
Pitt no. 5 owned set 1, and no. 4 owned sets 2+3. They are a really really good team.
Now you know why PSU reportedly pursued the Pitt coach. This is not to say that our current coach is lacking as she is making strides towards returning PSU to prominence, but Pitt is in the natty conversation and has been for a couple of years.
In all honesty, PSU is not quite ready for a team as powerful as Pitt was (last night).
Every facet of the sport, serve/serve receive/setting (function of serve receive)/hitting/blocking was dominated by the other team.
Props to them.
Back to work. It's a long season and the conference schedule will test the mettle of these ladies and their coaches.

I agree. There is a noticeable improvement from last season and they weren't ranked #3 for no reason. I am hoping they keep improving.
Win 3-0 but passing and serve receive are not up to par
