This bowl season has proven what I have been saying all season long. The SEC is incredibly overrated, and the ESPN/SEC link is why we get Alabama in the playoff when they clearly weren't qualified.

In other news, the Rice defense is playing their butts off, and making up for the fact they have no QB. Thought this one would be a laugher, but could be interesting in the 2nd half.

Since I'm probably the only one watching. Not sure I've seen a string like this before...

Rice offense last 4 plays:
Ball thrown right to DB, interception called but overturned as DB somehow let it hit ground
Fumble but recovered by Rice
Fumble recovered by defense
Fumble recovered by defense.

He leaves with honor, and an excellent reputation. No color analyst is perfect, and he's made his mistakes over the years. But more often than not, he was on top of things. And he retires with honor, while being held in high regard by most. And he always brought dignity to the broadcast booth, and the TV coverage.

Meh. Buh Bye. He always allowed his PSU envy into his color commentary.

It's amazing how normal the SEC looks when everyone can buy players now. Also, with the 12 team playoffs they can't stack the teams like they could in the 4 team setup. Now they have to beat someone to get to the finals.

Desperate times...3 teams that won 6 games or more backed out (two fined heavily and ND) then a bunch of 5 win teams wisely said no. They were almost to the point of needing to go to 4-8 teams

Today is the final day of blow mania. The schedule:

Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl: Rice vs. Texas State, 1 p.m. EST, ESPN

AutoZone Liberty Bowl: Navy vs. Cincinnati, 4:30 p.m. EST, ESPN

Duke's Mayo Bowl: Wake Forest vs. Mississippi State, 8 p.m. EST, ESPN

Trust & Will Holiday Bowl: Arizona vs. SMU, 8 p.m. EST, Fox

Finals:

Texas State 41, Rice 10

Navy 35, Cincinnati 13

Wake Forest 43, Mississippi State 29

SMU 24, Arizona 19

And that’s a wrap.

The SEC has played nine bowl games, not counting games in which they played each other as the opponent. They were favored in seven of the nine games. Yet they’ve only won two of the nine games. Tell me again how this is the superior conference?

A while back, there was an argument about watching games down south. A B10 game was on in Florida. A clown claimed the game was turned off and an SEC game put on. The bozo also stated anyone trying to change the channel back would be beaten up. He continued to make himself look stupid and finally went away.

Not a bowl game but the FCS title game is awesome with the 17 seed (unseeded) giving #2 all they can handle. Down 7 with 6 minutes left. Good game.
Dylan Lord is undersized but if he enters the portal he'll get paid well

Can't believe Illinois State tried a FG instead of going for 4th & 1 with an inexperienced kicker--need a miracle to get to OT now
Edit: Montana State took a sack then a bad snap took them way out of FG range--just a crazy game

It was right call for fg only 38 yards and he was 3-3 last game. Not kickers fault they couldn’t block. Looks like ot
