The team’s current run is up to 71. The record is held by Oklahoma State, which won 76 straight. That, of course, means if Penn State wins its first seven dual meets, it will be the new record holder.

It wasn’t that long ago that board was buzzing with chest-thumping about Iowa wrestling’s history and dominance. Now? Crickets. The only thing more silent is the response on the mat when Cael and the boys rolls through.
Guess that’s what happens when the fire burns out — the rest of us move on to the big stage while Iowa keeps reminiscing about the past.
I was confused because the record would be broken by the sixth dual win. I'm torn about driving all the way to State College for the Rutgers match. Lehigh/Cornell is the same day at Grace (two hours of driving vs. six hours). If the record were actually to be broken by a win over Rutgers, I'd have to think a lot more.

I checked my ICA invoices. Last year's renewal had a payment deadline of Oct. 30. Assuming a similar deadline, this year's renewals should be out very soon.
Last year I received my invoice on 9/30/24 with payment due by 10/30/24. Tickets were available to download 11/5/24 and the first home match was 11/17/24.
This screams Iowa vs Nebraska final. As if we won't see those matchups several other times over the year. Maybe Ferrari will make it interesting by doing the double bird again.
