Missed it - why no handshake?

Not really explained.

This is from an Wisconsin State Journal article on the game (behind a paywall, so I won't link it):

The game ended with a last-minute fracas that led to majors and ejections for Wisconsin's Blake Montgomery and Penn State's Gavin McKenna and misconducts for everyone else on the ice.

Hastings passed on the traditional postgame handshake with Penn State coach Guy Gadowsky, offering a wave as he walked away from the bench. Gadowsky looked puzzled and sounded it afterward.

"You'll have to ask him," Gadowsky said. "I've never not shaken hands, so I'd like to know."

Hastings paused before answering a question about it.

"Yeah, I'll leave that because — you know what, yeah," he said. "I told them 'good game.' That's what I told them. They were enjoying tonight. And maybe they should; they swept."

USCHO poll has the Nittany Lions back at 5.

NPI rating is 4th, and closer to 1 than 8. Next four games are against 1 and 2. Even getting swept would leave PSU in a very strong position for NCAA. Winning all would likely put PSU near or at the top, and in very strong position for a top seed, or possibly the top seed and guarantee placement close to home, likely the Albany regional. Avoiding Loveland and Sioux Falls is desirable and, frankly, offers a better shot at Vegas.

Guy goes 6 7. Team is in a full blown celly in front of the Badger student section. Wisky coach is broken, and goes full Carson Beck by not shaking hands after the L. Appears to drop an F bomb while walking off the ice. :ROFLMAO:

Totally agree. I would take splits next two series for sure, as a worst case scenario, especially at Yost. Of course would line to see 4 wins for the good guys.

One thing that has pissed me off since the hockey team became Div 1 is ICAs failure to really embrace the special hockey sweaters each year and produce quality replicas for sale. They don’t have to go crazy and produce insane huge amounts of the them, but there is enough interest to do so.

Fortunate enough to have won 2-3 of the auctions for game worn ones in the past, but stopped trying to win them. I honestly felt bad knowing I was competing in some cases against the player’s family to win them.

Will playing this game in those harsh conditions do permanent damage to both of those teams for the rest of the season? I know that the benches will have heaters, but those are going to be ridiculous conditions to be outside for several hours.

Wonder if they will go deeper into the line-up and cycle the lines faster.

Very bad news: Guy on the radio show just annnounced Cerrato out for remainder of regular season after surgery, adding that he hopes to have him back for the postseason.
That is very unfortunate. Would be great if he is back for post season.
