Seeing a lot of stuff going around that McKenna was arrested Saturday night for aggravated assault in a bar fight.

Yep. Bad week for PSU Men's Ice Hockey may have gotten a lot worse.

From what I have heard, happened shortly after the game on Saturday. Around Doggie's Pub, IIRC.

But I am sure the details will come out soon, and might relay more context.

My son read he broke a kid’s jaw after the kid was chirping at him.
My take - kid is intoxicated, sees McKenna and starts blowing him crap. Not sure if McKenna was with other players or not, but whomever he was with failed to pull him out of the situation. He pops the kid a good one and his life is now forever changed.

Edit. Supposedly was downtown with his mother and the kid approached them calling his mother a wh@@@.
Not sure where my son is getting his info.

I imagine the police had to charge ag assault due to the broken jaw, but it sounds like the kid deserved it. Hopefully it gets reduced due to the circumstances surrounding it.

Some ambulance chasing lawyer is already drawing up the lawsuit paperwork.

Oh 100%...its why these guys are put into such a bad situation especially consider NIL. Should have walked away but we all know that's easy to say. I know at 18 I probably would have done something stupid. Hopefully the charges are dropped or reduced.

It looks like the McKenna experience, other than giving the program some great publicity, is going to end disappointingly not only for him in particular but also the team in general. This team wasn’t going to win anything this season even with him, as last weekend demonstrated and this weekend will confirm, let alone without him.

Considering their mediocre goaltending and lousy defense, they were going to have to outscore teams to win, and that’s not going to happen now without McKenna and Cerroto.

C'mon! As a Bruins fan, Milbury's beat down of that Ranger's fan must be a fond memory for you.

Such a difficult video for me as an Islanders fan. On the one hand is a Rangers fan getting ***** slapped with a shoe. On the other hand, it’s Mike Milbury, whom I would love to see ***** slapped with a shoe.

Only a few of us know this great reference 🤣
One of the greatest moments in sports history. Not even a Bruins fan, but those Rangers fans deserved everything they got.

My favorite was McNab going 8 rows up and ragdolling a guy who cheapshotted Terry O’Reilly

Boston comedian Bill Burr did a great bit on the Malice At The Palace. I’d love to hear his take on that Bruins brawl

My favorite was Schultz dropping punk
O’Reilly with a single punch.

KDKA in Pittsburgh says there is a video encounter and he hits guy twice (video not included).
So the 3rd hit was the guy hitting the ground. Only reason, at least for now, that I am giving him some grace is because maybe the guy was disrespectful to his mom. If that turns out to not be correct, then I will view it differently.

Thank God there was no video, etc. when I was a student.

Just can't do it anymore now that every other dude is a worthless punk.

Maybe we're thinking about this all wrong and it’s a big psyop from the McKenna camp. We’ve even commented on his soft play at times. Maybe this was staged so teams wouldn’t question his toughness? 😁

You can't hit other people in the face because they called your mother a name. No excuses. If somebody hit him first it would be self defense.
Exactly, this guy is a punk a$$ *****. Total pu$$y move to sucker punch someone. He should be kicked out of school and the country.

Sucker punch? Are you serious? If someone aggressively pursues another person, talking aggressively in a threatening manner, he isn't sucker punched. There is such thing as hitting first when another person is a clear and present threat. Especially if he pursued them out side the restaurant. The kids is lucky he's alive to be honest

If all of that involving the mom is true. Hockey teams won’t have any hesitation at all. Hockey players stand up for their teammates, their people. While not a smart decision legally, character wise teams are going to be, this young man will stand up for his teammates, his people.

To those saying/thinking he has ruined his NJL career…ha.

Pretty sure with the NHL players, etc. he already knows, someone is going to make sure he is going to have a really good lawyer that will make sure that any charges are misdemeanor at most.

BCS, just for good measure and because 🖕

Agree. If this was more common, maybe we wouldn’t be currently living in a society where clowns think they can say whatever they want without consequences.
