Considering that they lost basically two thirds of their games from late January until the end of the season, and also lost almost every game that they played against other Tournament teams, it was an undeserved gift that they even got to play this game. They actually played a good game, but for whatever reason had no energy to impose their will after the first period and basically had to rely on counters, which actually helped them play better defense. However, this Duluth team is a one line team that’s nowhere near as good as Michigan or MSU.Disappointing season. Didn’t live up to the hype.
Bye, Gavin.

This program now is going to lose most of its impactful players and it will be interesting to see how they reload or rebuild. Unfortunately, this team failed to capitalize on the Final Four appearance, which really could’ve set this program up as a consistent destination for future first and second round draft picks, which you need to compete in the Big 10.
