I'm setting this (and all of the B1G Session Threads) the day before the start of the B1G Tourney, so that everyone knows the plans, has the links, etc.

Please use the thread for all pre-tournament, in-session, and post-session discussion for the 2025 B1G Wrestling Tournament.

When:
March 8, 6:00 pm EST

Where:
Welsh-Ryan Arena, Evanston, IL

Action:
The 6 pm action will be consolation matches and wrestlebacks. At 8 pm, the semifinal matches will commence.

TV:
none for the 6 pm action. BTN for the 8 pm action

Video Streaming:
For the 6 pm action, the only option is B1G+. For the 8 pm action, BTN subscribers can stream it via the FOX Sports App. For B1G+ subscribers, you can also watch there. (This enables you to dictate which mat you watch, whereas with the BTN TV coverage you are at the whim of the BTN producer as to what mat is on the broadcast.)

Audio Streaming:
The radio PBP, with Jeff Byers at the mic, will be streamed for free. There doesn't appear to be any pre-Session portion of the broadcast (per the links in LionVision). As such, the radio PBP will start at 6 pm. To get the PBP via LionVision, go to:

gopsusports.com

Lion Vision

gopsusports.com
gopsusports.com

Once there, click on the arrow to the left of Wrestling Big Ten Tournament - Session 2

Team Scoring:
The best place to track the team scoring is the Penn State Wrestling Club web site. The link for the team scoring is:

https://www.pennstatewrestlingclub.org

PBP:
I'm not sure when I'll be available for PBP in Session II. I certainly expect to be around for the semifinal action. I'll probably not be around for the start of the 6 pm part of the Session, though it is a possibility. I believe @GregPickel will be posting results/doing PBP, and anyone else is encouraged to help with that as well. As always, I remind you to please include the score for the match in your posts, or provide some context (wrestler, school, and weight class) beyond just "that's not a takedown." It also helps to give folks a heads up as to what mat a PSU wrestler will be wrestling on. You can usually get that info from Ironhead's audio PBP, from Penn State Wrestling's twitter account, or from TrackWrestling.

133 Consolation R2: 4 seed Braeden Davis vs. #11 seed Dustin Norris (Purdue)

I'll use DN for Norris

Per 1
Davis active early. Davis with a TD to the back, eventually DN gets to his stomach, but it's 3+4 early, 7-0. OOB with 2:03 left. Davis cuts him, 7-1. Davis in on a single, and gets behind for the TD, 10-1.
DN out, 10-2. Davis in on a leg and gets the TD, 13-2. He tilts him and gets 4 NF to make it a 17-2 TF @ 2:03!!!!

On Mats 3 & 4, 125 Consolation Round 3 matches are listed. So I guess Davis will wrestle his next consolation match before we get to the semifinal matches.

The Brand's brand is slowly deteriorating. Trailing their neighbor states Nebraska and Illinois.
