I read that before I posted. I’ll give you he explained why we traded the DT , but his reasons for trading for a C gives me the idea the guys on the roster aren’t cutting it.

tough to get too excited about the 1st preseason game, with the starters (for the Birds) not expected to play. But it gets us closer to the start of the NFL season.

This is the stuff that will get players to come to Philly. Saquon getting an extension 1 year into his contract is what will get players to come to Philly. Dorenbos getting a ring after the ‘17 Super Bowl is what will get players to come to Philly.

Injuries I noted during the Birds' 1st preseason game:
1. WR Elijah Cooks, who is having an excellent camp, was carted into the lockerroom, and there was no update provided on him
2. Saf Sydney Brown appeared to injure a shoulder while making a tackle, and did not return after that play. He missed some tackles during the game, and I continue to think he's not up to being a starter. But with the #2 draft pick, Andrew Mukuba, missing most of the the 1st two weeks of practice, the Birds are thin at safety
3. IOL Kenyon Green injured his wrist, and I don't believe he returned. The reports on him at camp have not been encouraging
