concerning with regards to Goedert. And also a concern in terms of blocking (mostly run, but also pass), as Calcaterra is a decent receiver, but is terrible as a blocker.

It looks like 88 won’t play on Sunday. I bet he’s as frustrated as the fans. It changes what the Eagles will do on offense.

For those of you who subscribe to The NY Times, here's a good article from The Athletic on the Eagles' predictability on offense. It's a two-game sample, but the stats are pretty stark vs. the rest of the league.

I'm not sure what to make of Sirianni's dismissal of these stats. The author re-cuts the data based on Nick's comments and the trends are still stark. They need to reverse this starting this weekend or the "2023 redux" narrative will be all we hear about.

It's interesting that a first-time OC hire in 2023 was a dumpster fire. Then they moved to an experienced playcaller in Moore in 2024 and had terrific success. Now they go back to a first-time OC this year and things have started poorly. The pressure is on to fix this.

Pay wall. Any O that runs the ball as much as Philly , will always seem to be predictable. This season will be nothing like 2023, defense is way too good.

A question I have is how much optionality Hurts has in calling run vs pass at the line?

Is he a big part of the play calling predictability? I imagine that Patullo is going to step in front of those criticisms, but there is likely more driving the slow start.

It’s good to see uniform recognition of the problems. There were questions early last year too.

My bad. It’s 4.3 and ranked 30th out of 32 teams. It’s good they’re focused on improving it.

Looks like AJ Brown has a great matchup on Sunday!
IMO the issue is and has been , Hurts holds the ball too long. I know I m not the Onlyest guy to say that. But watch Josh Allen tonight he drops back sets throws. Jalen doesn’t always do that and that’s why there’s no separation. The separation comes when the receiver comes out of their breaks
This all said the Eagles flat out win games differently than other NFL teams. Their run game just controls so much of the clock

What about that shot Al Michaels threw at the Eagles during tonight’s broadcast?

“Some teams win and aren’t interesting to watch.”

The Birds have been rather muted about Shipley's situation. But after trading for Bigsby, the assumption was that Shipley would be out for some time. Perhaps the assumptions were incorrect.
