It’s only been 2 games. Let’s start there. But I hate seeing Huff doing so well in SF. Hate it. The Eagles weakness so far has been at edge pressuring the QB.

Howie deserves mad props for his roster building prowess, but watch that space. It could turn out to be a major gaffe.

Yeah, it is frustrating when a player the Birds trade, or the Birds release, have success after the fact. But with Huff, I would actually like him to have some success this season. The Birds traded him to San Fran for a 5th round pick, which can become a 4th round pick if he has 8 sacks this season.

Week 1: he had no sacks
Week 2: he had 1 sack

7 more sacks is fine by me. ;)

FWIW, I expected him to be more productive playing, after being reunited by the trade with his former coach, Robert Saleh.

Up next is the dreaded trip to Tampa. This game will be the third season in a row that the NFL scheduled the Eagles to play AT Tampa Bay. Given the typical rotational structure of the NFL, it’s already a bit of an outlier for two teams who aren’t in the same division to be scheduled three seasons in a row, but it’s even stranger for that not one of those games is at home for the Eagles. I guess the owners don’t make that much of a stink about it, but NFL scheduling makes little sense at times. If you include playoffs, this will be the fifth time in a row that the Eagles have to travel to play the Bucs. I point this out because games in Tampa give us Eagles fans some agita, even if half the stadium will be wearing green.

To update

Week 3: he had 1 sack

6 more sacks on the season by Huff, and the pick becomes a 4th round pick.

He had one yesterday. Down to 5 to go. This is like the Wentz watch when he had to play a certain % of plays for the Colts for the Eagles to get a better pick.

Question I have is, do the Eagles want to / can they pay both Jordan Davis and Jalen Carter? Especially considering what Milton Willians got

You're getting ahead of things. The one he got yesterday was the Week 3 update. He now has 2 on the season, and thus 6 more for the draft pick to flip.

This is where the Bosa injury may hurt the Eagles. Huff won’t get as many single team looks without Bosa, but he can still do 8 sacks, IMO.
