Blech ... 3 southern squads and a boring MSU squad. Hoping all 4 squads get DQ'ed.
I don't think MSU is boring. They play sound fundamental basketball at both ends. Maybe not extremely athletic but certainly athletic enough to get to where they are today along with excellent coaching.

Tennessee-Houston 2:20, Michigan State-Auburn 5:05. On CBS. Hoping for a couple exciting games. Will be rooting for Tennessee and MSU.
Johnni Broome: Does he play 4 or 5 position in the pros? He plays alot in the Auburn offense with his back to the basket but seems to be able to shoot occasionally from 3 and much better mid-range. Outstanding rebounder. I think he ends up as a 4.

Note my previous post is an exaggeration, but he'll be a role player in the league, not someone to focus on.

That clanked 3 for MSU at the end of the game really sucked. Just sayin'. That's about the area of the iron that I would manage to contact a few times during warm up drills in HS. They never went in though.

The more I think of it, the more I think that the Duke coaches looked on the BYU-Alabama film as a lesson in how not to game-plan Alabama. BYU’s strategy was basically “Let’s hope Alabama doesn’t get hot from 3.” Very poor coaching, imo. I watched ten minutes of Duke-Alabama and immediately recognized the difference. (I’m usually very slow in picking up these things.)

After the Sweet 16 games @bdgan complained about defenders not fighting over screens, well he was right about BYU at least. I think this absolutely had to be the coaching. Thoughts?
Alabama was one of the top teams in the country on the inside, and just a decent three point shooting team. BYU was just an ok defensive team. Alabama shooting 51 threes would probably be fine with BYU…but not when they make 25 of them.

It's a lock that he's heading to the NBA. NIL $ won't touch NBA $ (with endorsements, and getting one year closer to the next big contract).

The first pick last year signed a deal for more than $57M over 4 years. Then tack on endorsements, which will be flowing in for a marketable guy like Flagg. And then the "real" money kicks in after those 4 years.

He'll want to get that clock running as quickly as possible, not sit in college hoops.

With Lebron aging out soon, and Victor on the shelf indefinitely, they have a chance at making Cooper the face of the future of the NBA ... so his endorsements could be absolutely unreal once he goes pro. He needs to jump on it.
Youse guys nailed it. Flagg is heading to the NBA.

In theory, shouldn't the endorsements be a wash,
isn't that what NIL was supposed to be all about?
An NBA star is still more marketable than an NCAA star.

NIL is about allowing you to profit off your name, image or likeness. But that doesn't mean you won't be more profitable in certain situations (like the NBA, rather than college).
