I never wrestled but its pretty crazy to me that these guys can keep the whistles straight when all the mats are so close together. Maybe its easier then it seems on tv but theres so many whistles and to keep track of what is yours and what isn't is awesome.

These kids have been wrestling in tournaments with multiple mats since they were 6-years old. They learned to differentiate whistles early on.

Someone needs to do a research paper on the impacts of younger ears, mat experience, and amount of cauliflower damage.

149 R1: #3 Shayne Van Ness vs. #30 Gabe Willochell (Wyoming)

I'll use GW for Willochell

I believe SVN pinned GW in the dual meet back in Dec.

Per 1
SVN in on a shot, on the edge, but GW avoids the TD. SVN shoots, gets a leg, elevates it, goes for a standing cradle, but opts for just the TD, 3-0. Works him pretty hard, then GW scoots and tries to get a reversal, he ends up getting an esc, 3-1. SVN shoots, and after a scramble gets the TD, 6-1. End. RT @ 1:10 for SVN

Per 2
GW takes bottom. SVN working to tilt, he turns him, and gets the FALL @ 4:11!!!!!!!!
