Amine with an offensive outbreak. Wins 3-1

I have no clue what Ramirez (Mizzou) was thinking in the 3rd period. He was trailing by 2 points, and showed almost no offense. He made a half-hearted shot with 12 seconds left. In a situation like that, you've got to shoot, and if you end up getting countered, so be it. You're going to lose if you don't do something, so you might as well shoot.

He wrestled down to Amine by imitating him? 🤷🏻‍♂️

I just saw a video with Askren saying Mitchell is so annoying when he wrestles because he never shuts up. Askren says he gets really annoyed with him.
I've heard something about that before, too, though not from Askren. I'll have to find the video.

Carter is making short work of the Rutgers wrestler. Up 11-0 in the first. This will end with either TF or a fall.

ESPN's coverage is downright TERRIBLE! They should be showing 4-match-box, which would keep a lot of viewers happy. But, no, they show 2, then 1.

184 pounds: Carter Starocci vs. Shane Cartagena-Walsh (SCW), Rutgers

First period
Starocci shoots and scores quick on a single leg for a 3-0 lead. Starocci then tilts for four nearfall points to take a 7-0 lead. Tilts again for four more to lead 11-0 after one.

Second period
They start neutral. Starocci gets a takedown for a 14-0 lead. SCW is called for stalling and that'll do it.

Starocci by technical fall, 15-0, 4:23

174 R2: #2 seed Levi Haines vs. #18 seed Gaven Sax (Oklahoma)

I'll use GS for Sax

Per 1
Haines in on a leg, GS over the shoulders and locks through the legs, and a stalemate, with 1:54 left. Haines in on the legs, another scramble, and Haines gets the TD, 3-0. GS tries to work up but Haines won't let him. Now GS is flattened, and Haines throws in a boot (sore of). End. RT @ 1:02 for Haines

Per 2
Haines defers, and GS takes top. GS tries to throw in a boot, and eventually does. Haines sits back into him and grabs GS's foot, and then rolls out for the esc, 4-0. A lot of ear-to-ear. Stoppage as GS's headgear comes unsnapped. End. RT @ 25 sec for Haines

Per 3
Seems to be blood stoppage for GS before the start of the period. Haines takes neutral. Haines in on a leg, GS locks through the crotch, and a stalemate with 1:24 left. Haines reaches, nothing. He reaches again, nothing. GS does like to dangle that right leg out there. Haines shoots and is in on a low single. GS goes over the back and a stalemate with 29 sec left. Blood time for GS (which may have been what the stoppage was; not sure). Haines shoots and is in on a single to a double, GS with another lock through the crotch, and the buzzer sounds. End. 4-0 DEC for Haines
