I was looking for things to post, and only half watching the match, so I can't really speak as to whether the two situations should have been stall calls. Sorry
No apology needed! You’ve got more than enough going on!!

Just interesting the contrast in the two matches, where there was constant action in 1 and then the ref decided to call quick stalls at the end, and minimal action in the other, and the ref declined to call stalls at all, even those that seemed as “obvious”

I’ll never fully understand it that’s for sure.

Well, Keckeisen crawled to get off the mat escaping a takedown.

totally different. You're engaged with the other wrestler. And, if the ref feels that's the only direction the defensive wrestler can go (due to their opponent), it's not a mandatory stall call.

Snooze fest at 125 and 133. Open it up!!! Refs have aloud this style of wrestling the whole tournament and this is what we get.

They should have started at 197. Stevenson is great but he had his time.
They gave Gable the Hodge as soon as he decided to come back mid season. The media loves Gable he’s their darling. Mitchell and Carter both have a decent amount more matches than him and that should matter if we were in common sense land but we aren’t.

Watching ESPN’s production is so frustrating. Every year it’s anwful announcing, DC doesn’t even know the rules, anwful interviews, miss the walk outs, etc
