Ok. But why make this move now vs a month ago? And does Robertson give them anything vs what’s in the bullpen now?

The Philly sports media will have a field day reading more into this move. If Dombrowski were planning to acquire higher-leverage arms via trade, then why use this roster spot on Robertson at $5M?

What's he going to say? He's holding on for dear life, all respect.
Exactly. I think he’s been trying to make deals for 2 months now and knows there isn't a ton of help coming.

The Mason Miller reports will generate clicks, but that deal is a long shot.

Celebrate the walk-off by swamping the guy who didn't even hit the ball. I guess they couldn't rush the field then just stand around. It'll take it though.

lol. I watched them practicing at spring training a few seasons ago. They are always looking to have fun, especially if Marsh is involved.

Getting Miller AND Rooker would be a fantastic grab, but it would most likely come with a very steep price.
There’s been a lot said about Middleton’s recent comments, but he’s right that trading your top prospects for players won’t guarantee a championship.

But the Phillies have had rotten luck with their prospects for the past decade too. That includes the ones they’ve traded for the most part too.

I don't have the stats on me and I am too lazy to look them up right now, but it just feels like they always have guys on base and never get them in. The HRs will come as long as you have KS and Harper in the lineup. To get the most out of the others was always the issue.

That said as much as I want to win it all, but at what cost? Unless we dump a player or two and get a superstar or two in return, I honestly don't see them getting much further than they did last year. I am for trades, but don't give away the farm for a team that doesn't seem ready for a long run in the playoffs.
