I’m really sorry to hear this. Damn shame.Wheeler will have second surgery, out 6-8 months. Some of you may now panic.
As long as the pitching is at least ok, the Phils will go as far as the bats will take them.
Have these oddsmakers already factored in Wheeler’s absence?Really bummed for wheeler. Obviously hurts the Phils chances but I’m still seeing them with the 3rd best odds to win the WS at several different books. Gotta hope Nola can get it back and the bats keep rolling.
If the bet is currently posted then absolutely. I think they were 2nd best before the injury.Have these oddsmakers already factored in Wheeler’s absence?
Well, given the history of that type of injury and Wheeler’s recent hinting at retirement in 2-3 years, that may be in question.Just hope he can come back to form after this surgery
A ray of hope from AIJust hope he can come back to form after this surgery
Right. It’s not a neurological TOS diagnosis which would have a worse recovery prognosis.A ray of hope from AI
- Athletes:
Athletes with venous TOS have good prognoses after surgical decompression, with most able to return to their previous level of performance.
That's a shame, hate to see the Braves 17 games back of 1st in the East. No Chopping this year.Just for sh^ts and giggles for all the Phillies fans. I saw a stat today on Spencer Stridor. In the month of August he is 0-3 with an ERA of over 15.![]()
Other than Duran this bullpen inspires very little confidence. Rarely have clean innings. Seems like someone is always giving up a HR in a close game.More steaming crap from the bullpen with Alvarado. Poor Ranger pitches his bitt off and gets pulled for this.
Exactly. Even the guys who are normally reliable step up to implode when the unreliable guys pitch well. "Culture" is a loaded term in sports, but I wonder whether there's an acceptance at the club that the bullpen is mediocre?Other than Duran this bullpen inspires very little confidence.
