Phillies SS prospect Aidan Miller has been on a tear lately. Hitting .414 over the last 10 games, including 7 doubles and 3 HR.
Took him a while to crack AA pitching, but he's hot now.

If the Phillies can win 2 of 3, they’ll reach Labor Day with an 8 game lead. While not insurmountable, it would be virtually impossible for the Mets to catch them the way they’re playing.
The under discussed story would be the impact on the Mets chances at the last wild card. They are still capable of being a pain in the *** come playoff time.

The same old story. They leave runs on the field early and the bullpen collapses late. This Mets team was in tatters and they put up 13.

IMHO, the Phils need to win just 1 of the 2 remaining games. Leaving NY only losing 1 game in the standings is a WIN for now. Still plenty of games to go.
After losing the lead, and trailing 6-3 after 6 innings, the Phillies bring in Jordan Romano to put out the fire?
Instead, he pours gasoline on the flames with the Mets scoring a quick 4 additional runs. Is there any hope for this guy?
i'm at work and can't access X, but i saw when i went o the chiropractor a few hours ago, that Romano was brought up to Topper, who responded with (paraphrasing) "yeah, we're gonna have to check with him to see if something's up"

This was the conclusion a month ago. He has the physical tools. Maybe he gets it together in the future, but his head is absolutely shot right now.

Jesus. They cut Ross and kept Romano? In what world does that make any sense? I’m with Westside, Romano must have pictures of Topper or Dombrowski with a hooker. Romano has an ERA of 8.23 and a negative WAR.

Luzardo could have been tossed in the first inning with the Soto AB. At least the ump had some patience. Rob waited too long for the hook. Now Kerkering is an issue.
