He's an interesting signing. While not the pitcher from Japan I was hoping the Fightins landed this offseason, he could help in the bullpen.

With Alvarado, being in the best mental shape of his life may be most important!
Some command of his pitches would go a long way. I don’t hold out much hope though.
Certainly in 2022 and at least at times he has been unhittable in stretches
that may be over but he has been dominant at times the last 3 seasons.
That has to be the slowest delivery from the stretch I’ve ever seen.
Yeah, it certainly ranks among the slowest for sure. Curious to see what this guy is all about though. I'll research him then. I know very little at the moment.
