How’s everyone seeing the national league?
I’m LA, Mets, Atlanta the Phils.
I’d like to see a change at the plate to bases v home runs and droughts.
I have my doubts, looking sub 90 wins.

I’m jealous. We were in Clearwater 2 years ago around this time and went to watch the Phils practice. I loved it. Felt like a little kid again. It was the highlight of the trip for me.

Sanchez vs Skenes tomorrow. They'll probably only throw an inning or two, but the game is on NBCSN+ at 1 PM ET

A couple of instant observations from the ballpark yesterday-

1- Justin Crawford - First off, he has added muscle to his frame. He is still a greyhound but he’s developing strength and muscle mass. Watching him so far here, he reminds me a bit of a combo of Jason Hayward and Cliff Floyd. On the single yesterday, he gobbled up ground when running. He is a long strider to put it mildly. I need to see more but he seemed a tad long in his swing path. He seemed to “uncoil“ a bit if that makes sense. Maybe it just looked that way given his size but I’ll be watching.

2- Aiden Miller - I saw him a couple times last year early with the Threshers before coming home. I can’t say that he immediately reminds me of anyone that we’d all know. But he has a major league frame at a young age and I had a very different initial impression of him versus Bohm. Part of it was approach but I wasn’t convinced that Bohm would feature a ton of power. The ball comes off Miller’s bat differently. He got jammed a bit yesterday with a pitch that ran into him and he still hit it hard with authority. He played SS yesterday. If Bohm does not figure into their plans, I think you start playing him for the position he will play when he gets to Philly. Everything I hear is that the Phillies are really excited with Miller. I think he eventually is a middle of the lineup guy.

Here is hoping the rain holds off so we can see Skenes today.
