Amazing turnaround from last couple years. He has been great at triple a. Was at the game and he looked awesome. 98 mph heater and what looked like a knee buckling curve.
Throws a bunch of other pitches well
I read that Abel was ranked as high as #35 in the MLB prospect rankings a couple of years ago. He’s always had great arm talent. If he can maintain command then he is def a top of the rotation talent.

Abel and Painter could be quite a duo. But there’s a long way to go there.

You see these things everywhere. You’d think if professional athletes spent more time on the things that matter and less time on the things that don’t matter they’d be better at their job.

Case in point: Dwight Howard. He would practice half-court and longer shots instead of practicing his free throws, lifetime 56.7% ftp.

That may be true, but on the other hand when Dwight Howard was called upon to be the one to miss a half court shot, he was well prepared... 🤷‍♂️
