Chase Burns is gonna be good. Gotta take advantage of his inexperience now. He’ll be an ace sooner than later.

It took 10 attempts but Stott finally broke the deadlock. What a game from Zach Wheeler! I’m not old enough to have seen Carlton in his prime, but Wheels has to be up there with Doc for most dominant Phillies starter in my lifetime.

Wheeler may have cleared the locker room if he wound up with a No Decision or loss. Thankfully, the “bats” came through. 😳

It kind of sucks, but the NL has several SSs that are having great seasons. Lindor (Mets) was voted in as the starter. De La Cruz (Reds), Abrams (Nationals), and Perdomo (Arizona), in addition to Turner, all made great cases this season to be picked to the team. De La Cruz is the only one picked as a reserve for the All-Star team.

Yes. He was locked in today. The biggest mistake the Reds made was taking him out. The Phillies lineup had nothing for him. He located his pitches well, threw good heat, and changed speeds well. He’s good.

MLB drafts are never perfect, as not all prospects work out for the teams that draft them. That said, Burns showed evidence of why he was the #2 pick in the 2024 MLB draft.
