I had believed this thread had already been created but apparently not. Freaking Liverpool, another added time win. Atletico Madrid. Opening matches were yesterday.

Brugge 2-3 Aston Villa full time. Villa the better side, Brugge got lucky with a handball in the box, hit the ensuing penalty kick. (Yes, it was the correct call but you’ve all seen freak handballs.)

The U.S. just hosted the World Cup, but we have a long way to go to giving a proper sh|t about futbol. To watch Liverpool today, my choices are two channels in SPANISH. o_O on xfinity or subscribing to Paramount+ for the broadcast in English. For f*ck’s sake.

I forgot the Spanish language option for the Arsenal match, thanks for the heads up.

It’s been a really rough post WC period for us Villa fans, as we have watched nearly all of our starters from last year’s European Championship squad be sold off.

The game against Brugge gave us a glimpse into what this very young squad could be capable of once they get more playing time together.
