Wow. I don’t watch a lot of wrestling. (I rely on Pete.) Is that spin move common? I’ve never seen it before.

becoming pretty common. You see it more and more in high school. It's a good way to clear the arms, especially if you're faster than your opponent, or your opponent is gassed, or seems to be hanging on to get the win.

285 QF- #4 Cole Mirasola vs. #5 Braxton Amos (WI)

Period 1:
Got distracted & missed the start of the match. It's 3-1 Cole with 33-sec left. Tying up & circling to end the period. 3-1 Cole, +6-sec RT

Period 2:
Cole takes down. He works to a quadpod, but Amos jacks him up & brings him back to the mat. Cole works back to a quadpod, then turns & gets the escape, 4-1. Tying up & hand fighting. Amos is a big boy. Heavy collar ties & pushing in the center of the mat, 40-sec left. Cole with some head swipes & they're back to tying up. Cole reaches for a leg, but can't get there. Tying up & pushing to end the period. 4-1 Cole. Amos +25-sec RT

Period 3:
Amos takes down. He pops to his feet, gets hand control & the escape, 4-2. Tying up & pushing in the center again. Amos tries a snap, but no luck. Amos presses forward a bit, 1-min left. Heavy hand fighting & collar ties. Amos takes Cole to the edge & they break. Cole circles back near center, 30-sec left. Amos shoots, but Cole easily evades. Amos pushes forward & takes Cole out of bounds, neutral restart. Amos pushes forward, but time expires.

Cole Mirasola DEC Braxton Amos 4-2
One more win would be huge for NCAA seeding. Even 3rd place would be good

Not to kick Iowa while they’re down..but what a horrible job scheduling by Brands. How the hell do you have a team like that with all crap seeds because of match count?

it’s coaches job to put them in best position to succeed. All they had to do was throw Angelo and Peterson on the mat one more time in last month and they probably both have 3 seeds.

there's injuries, but also ducking involved. it's sad. they think they're outmaneuvering, but they're really hurting themselves

Life is so unfair. This is the first time we’re hearing about Rocco’s balls of steel, and yet there’s been a whole thread about Willie’s crystal ball, singular! 😠

And yet, today Rocco is advancing to the Semis, while @WillieTheBrain is in a hospital bed. Apparently the type of balls you have, singular or plural, matters. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:
