I think some of this is building a wrestling foundation accross the entire country.
Tried multiple times to score PSU wrestling tix this year and each time tickets were into the hundreds of dollars per seat. Sure, tournament tickets dipped some in the last few week due to oversaturation of the resell market, but we had already made other plans for watching. I’m sure there are other people in the same boat, high interest in attending, but not dropping hundreds of dollars for one event.
Nah, the guy is immortal. He has cheated death 8794 times thus far and is back above for life #8795 (and counting). It's like the movie Groundhog Day and jsxxxx is the cynical TV weatherman character who keeps starting the day over here on the PSU board. You know, his favorite team's board.

He’s an absolute monster, and someday we’ll look back at this season of his as one similar to Zain’s sophomore season. To me he’s been even more dominant than Mitchell this year, even though neither has come close to losing.
Brutal on top means turning people, not just riding them out.

I'd agree. After I started mod'ing on Rivals I was able to go back and see who was banned before I started, and there were actually quite a few users who were banned by a different mod just for disagreeing with them. I was shocked because some were decent, long term legitimate posters.
Hoping the mods @GregPickel @Tom McAndrew just issue a short term timeout for js.
The Assistant Coach was Brian Snyder, who wrestled for Easton and then was an All American for Nebraska. Manning must be rubbing off on him because he was always a classy kid and guy. His father was a tremendous assistant coach for Easton.
I think Nebraska was bitching because I think the assistant ref made lead ref aware of the hold.??
Cael can't be coach of the year because all he does is recruit the highest rated wrestlers. If Tom had recruited the best wrestlers.......he would have no legitimate claim to being named coach of the year. Wait....I am getting a call from Snopes......It seems that when this years' Ohio State senior class were freshman recruits.....IT was overwhelming voted the best recruiting class.....some said best EVER. So..............Nevermind

HWT weights, Gabe Arnold at 188lbs and Darius Marines missing weight (and losing a chance at being a NQ).
Eh it was my time. I'm not around much anyway (lots of other, far more important things going on in my life!). Question, how are there not teams trying like hell to get into the PAC? I get that football takes precedence but ASU wrestling should have never left. Wyoming? Air Force?
Penn state crowned 7 champions and just beat the big ten all star team 28 to 9 (12 at worst since Davis didn't wrestle Mendez). How did tan tom get coach of year?
How did Davino get freshman of the year over PJ Duke?
How did Mendez get Wrestler of the Year. That belongs to Messenbrink with Barr being in the discussion over Mendez.
Only answer to above is they wanted to give awards to anyone other than Penn state (as championships and dominance ratings speak for themselves).

It was, but it was the 5th or 6th out of 7 criteria, and Zain was far better on dominance and pins.
Not a good look to make fun of the family of a competitor. They’re there to give support. I thought it was great to see family members cheering on their guys. To turn someone you'd actually have to work for a turn, which he doesn't ever attempt. Somehow does just enough to not get a stall call by mat returning and occasionally breaking someone down from base. Considering all that, how he doesn't get dinged for running the bottom guy out for a restart is beyond me.
It's like everything he does rides the line of legal while being fully against the spirit of competition.
